How Buying an Established ATM Route Works
A clear path from confidential review to ownership transfer
ATM Xpress connects qualified buyers with established ATM routes and operating ATM portfolios available for acquisition.
Each opportunity may include existing ATM machines, documented processor activity, host relationships, site-location agreements, and other operating assets. ATM Xpress organizes the available information, coordinates communication, presents offers, and helps the buyer and seller move efficiently through the transaction.
1. Browse Available Routes

2. Request Full Route Details
Select the route you are interested in and submit your information.
We may ask for:
Your name and company
Phone number and email
Current city and state
ATM operating experience
Acquisition budget
Available vault-cash budget
Ability to service the route
Expected purchase timeline
Submitting a request does not obligate you to purchase.
3. Complete Buyer Qualification
ATM Xpress reviews each request to confirm that the buyer has the ability and intent to acquire and operate the route.
Qualified buyers may be required to:
Sign a confidentiality agreement
Confirm available acquisition funds
Confirm access to sufficient rotating vault cash
Confirm the ability to service the applicable market
Provide reasonable proof of funds when requested
Sensitive information is released only as appropriate for the stage of the transaction.
4. Review the Confidential Route Information
Qualified buyers receive the available information needed to evaluate the opportunity.
Depending on the route, this may include:
Processor activity reports
Machine photos, models, and approximate ages
Withdrawal and surcharge history
Host-payment terms
Site-location agreement status
Cash-loading responsibilities
Estimated vault-cash requirements
Processing and wireless information
Reported maintenance history
Assets included in the sale
Seller transition information
Information may be identified as:
Supported by Processor Reports
Reported by the Seller
Pending Buyer Confirmation
Processor reports and supporting information are available for buyer review when provided by the seller.
5. Submit an Offer
After reviewing the available information, the buyer may submit a written offer through ATM Xpress.
The offer should identify:
Proposed purchase price
Requested due-diligence period
Proposed closing timeline
Any inspection or financing conditions
Any other material terms
ATM Xpress presents the offer to the seller and coordinates negotiations.
The seller retains final approval over every offer. No sale is binding until the buyer and seller sign the applicable transaction documents.
6. Complete Due Diligence
After an offer is accepted, the buyer reviews and confirms the material details of the route.
Due diligence may include:
Reviewing processor and settlement records
Confirming host payments and operating expenses
Inspecting each ATM
Confirming machine serial numbers and condition
Reviewing site-location agreements
Confirming host relationships
Reviewing processing and wireless requirements
Confirming cash-loading responsibilities
Determining required vault cash
Confirming exactly which assets are included
Historical performance does not guarantee future results. Buyers should evaluate each route based on the available records, operating requirements, and their own costs.
7. Finalize the Purchase
The buyer and seller complete the documents required for the transaction.
Depending on the sale, these may include:
Asset Purchase Agreement
Bill of Sale
Equipment and serial-number schedule
Site-agreement assignments
Closing statement
Transition checklist
Commission-disbursement instructions
The final documents identify the purchase price, included assets, payment terms, closing conditions, and responsibilities of each party.
8. Fund and Close
The buyer submits the purchase funds according to the signed closing instructions.
Vault cash is generally separate from the purchase price unless the buyer and seller agree otherwise in writing.
When appropriate, funds may be handled through an agreed escrow or closing service and distributed according to the executed transaction documents.
9. Transfer the Route
At closing, the seller transfers the assets and information included in the sale.
This may include:
ATM machines
Keys and combinations
Site-location agreements
Processing transition information
Wireless information
Operating manuals
Available maintenance records
Host introductions or confirmations
Other included route assets
The buyer then assumes responsibility for operating, funding, loading, monitoring, servicing, and maintaining the ATMs.
Any seller training or post-closing assistance will be limited to what is included in the final purchase agreement.
The Role of ATM Xpress
ATM Xpress facilitates the transaction between the buyer and seller.
We help organize route information, protect confidential details, qualify prospective buyers, coordinate questions, present offers, support negotiations, and keep the transaction moving toward closing.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, ATM Xpress is not the owner, processor, cash loader, host business, lender, attorney, accountant, or guarantor of the route.
